Reverend Jim Fitzpatrick utilizes a wealth of cross-cultural life experiences as the basis
for his personalized marriage ceremonies and vows. His creative talents lend
themselves to working directly with the bride and groom to craft and develop
personalized expressions meeting the needs of the marriage party--the couple and
their families.

Born and raised along coastal California, Reverend Jim has had the opportunity from an
early age to travel extensively throughout North American, Europe, and Africa, while
for the past 30 years always returning to Santa Barbara where his children were raised,
and now their children are being raised. As a student he studied in Europe, and as a
teacher for more than 30 years, his travels now include lengthy sojourns with students,
providing the opportunity for him to share his deep understanding of geology, history,
art history, architecture and western culture.

Indeed, it's Reverend Jim's knowledge and experiences that can provide a reference
point for the bride and groom to determine the direction of their ceremony and vows.
Reverend Jim's lifelong involvement with surfing and skateboarding also provide an
interesting perspective for contemporary couples seeking to establish their own specific
ceremony.

Personalized ceremonies, developed in a non-denominational format are the basis of
Reverend Jim's previous celebrations. Vows have included references to Aristotle,
Native Americans, African ceremonies, and others...the importance of the personalized
ceremony is to establish the needs and interest of the couple who are gathering for
their ceremony--their celebration of love, and their lives together.
